My name is Ruth Brock. At my firm, the Law Office of Ruth Brock, I assist individuals and businesses with the preparation, negotiation and review of legal documents, as well as provide personal and business legal counsel. Rather than handling contested legal matters, I work to resolve or prevent legal disputes.

I focus on handling transactional issues for clients in the areas of:
- Real estate law — I assist commercial real estate developers, builders, landlords, tenants, property managers and others with a range of commercial and residential real estate transactions. I draft, review and negotiate all real estate documents, including contracts, retail leases, warranty deeds, oil and gas leases, easements, title commitments and mortgage documents, with the familiarity that comes with over 30 years in private practice. I am Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in the fields of commercial and residential real estate.
- Estate planning and wills — Everyone should have an estate plan in place. I can help you create an individualized plan designed to help you pass your property to your loved ones in an efficient manner upon your death. I can also help you develop a plan for handling your affairs in the event that you become disabled or incapacitated.
- Probate — When a loved one dies, many legal questions can arise. After evaluating your circumstances, I can recommend the appropriate probate procedure, if any. Based on your situation, I can help you obtain letters testamentary, provide counsel on the appropriate actions to be taken under a trust agreement or use a variety of informal methods of probate.
- Business law — Forming and operating a successful business involves more than an entrepreneurial spirit. I assist start up businesses with entity selection and other business formation matters and provide advice and guidance for established companies. For all business clients, I create, review and negotiate well-crafted contracts to validate the company with both customers and lenders, as well as protect my clients' interests.
